Teachers exhibit a high degree of professionalism.
In addition to the many hours of preparation work that go into creating lesson plans, there still must be time for attending seminars and teacher education programs. I make sure to attend in-service and professional development plan meetings.
I also continually read articles in journals, magazines and on-line about matters relating to my field. I print them and keep them in a binder for future reference.
I pass along information and resources to my fellow ESOL teachers at the schools where I teach, knowing that sharing this information helps us all improve.
